DJO Hip IllustrationThis illustration was created after extensive discussions with Dr. Joseph Fetto, the designer of the Revelation Hip System. Two main features we accent are the flare which helps build bone on the lateral femur, and the 3D Matrix porous coating that promotes bone ingrowth. Created in Maya and photoshop. The Revelation® Lateral Flare® Total Hip System was designed based on a more complete understanding of hip joint biomechanics and bone morphology. By loading the lateral femur, the Revelation Hip System reproduces normal physiologic loading patterns, reduces potential for subsidence, and avoids diaphyseal overloading which has been sited as a cause of thigh pain. - See more at: http://www.djoglobal.com/products/djo-surgical/revelation-hip-system
